"Becki helped me get my mom and dad a green card.  She was very helpful and extremely pleasant to work with!  My mom and dad loved her!  Even though they didn't speak the language, they did get along and understand each other :).  I highly recommend her to anyone who needs an immigration attorney."

          -- E.K.

"My wife and I hired Becki to file for her green card and even though the case turned out to pose many difficulties, she saw us through all of the hurdles and ultimately my wife received her green card and everything worked out even better than we had hoped.  Great job!"

I earned my Juris Doctorate Law Degree, Cum Laude, from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2011. I opened my solo law practice in 2012, the Law Office of Becki A. Jacobson, LLC, with offices in Massachusetts and Connecticut, where I am also licensed to practice law. My main law office is in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

My practice focuses on immigration law in the areas of business, family, deportation, and appeals. Since opening my law practice, I have represented clients from over fifty different countries. I work annually with Congress to reform immigration law in Washington, D.C. and I travel to different detention centers and immigration courts around the country to represent my clients.

I am active in many professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Greater Newburyport Bar Association (GNBA), the Massachusetts Academy for Trial Attorneys (MATA), and Starting Out Solo (SOL).

I believe in giving back to the community and offer pro bono and low bono legal services to children, low-income families, and the elderly populations. During the recent travel bans, I donated my time at Logan Airport helping people enter the country from all over the world and held community events to educate the public on the constant changes to the immigration laws.

I am active in the Newburyport community as a member of the Newburyport Maritime Museum, the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, the Newburyport Film Festival Planning Committee, the Greater Newburyport Bar Association (GNBA) Planning Committee, and a member of the Business Networking International (BNI) Newburyport Chapter.

I am also proud to call Newburyport home. I love all that Newburyport and the surrounding Greater Newburyport area has to offer, and I look forward to engaging many new professionals, community members, and friends within the area as an active member of our Newburyport community.
